    The office that I shipped from was phenomenal and went over and beyond all expectations. The failure happened when I paid a significant amount of money for it to arrive at 10:30 a.m. on Monday only to find out at 5:00 p.m. on Monday that it would be delayed a day. My proposal has now been rejected due to being late. My home FedEx store is phenomenal and went above and beyond to help, once that package left my home FedEx store things have gone downhill.

    On 5/28/2024 at approximately 12:30PM-1:30PM, I went to the FedEx office store to ship a small bag approximately 6x9 cloth bag containing personal hygiene items and miscellaneous personal items (costume jewelry, Bobby pins, etc). No perfumes or liquids and none of the items were flammable, hazardous, or fragile. The bag alone was no more than .5 lb. The associate told me that these were prohibited items and I was not allowed to ship them. He repeatedly questioned me about its contents after I already answered the question. He attempted to refuse my package but eventually gave in when he saw my genuinely confused face as to why I couldn’t ship these everyday essentials. He made me feel like a criminal, like my business was unwelcome, and like I was bothering him. After much unnecessary back and forth, he finally let me ship my package. He further told me I was not allowed to use my own box and that I was REQUIRED to use their fedex packaging (the white boxes). He never offered me or allowed me to buy the brown labeled boxes. I have used fedex services in the past and I have never been told I was REQUIRED to use the fedex boxes. I wanted to use my own packaging for ground shipping (the cheapest) as this was not an extreme rush (such as overnight). I asked for the cheapest shipping and the associate told me that I was required to use two day shipping since I was using FedEx boxes. He didn’t allow me to use the three day option, which I know to be cheaper. After much coercion, I paid for two day shipping with the FedEx packages. I am absolutely appalled by the associates behavior, accusatory attitude, and his demand that I use the services that HE deemed appropriate. I feel that I was upsold to meet the stores needs which is highly inappropriate and makes me feel abused and taken advantage of as a customer. I have NEVER had an experience like this with shipping, printing, or even returning products. This associate was HIGHLY unprofessional. I am certain that I am not the only nor will I be the last person that this associate forces into upselling and made up shipping rules. The bag needed to be sent as I was already late in sending it otherwise, I would have walked right out. I chose this location and company due to previous positive experiences but I will never consider this my first stop for my future needs. I would rather pay your competitors rates as long as I know I’m not being forced to use services that I do not need. Highly highly disappointed in your store and associate.
