When asked for my ID to be scanned I inquired with the team member to find out why this was necessary as I haven’t shipped in a while with FedEx and his reply was cause they tell me to. I then inquired again and he said that’s how they trained him and he doesn’t know and does what they tell him to. Then I stated if I do not want my ID scanned and captured how to proceed he stated then you gotta go somewhere else I can’t take the package. I also inquired what is done with the captured info he again said I don’t know. Unfortunately regardless of my reluctance to have my ID info captured I had to ship as FedEx would get it to the destination faster. However the attitude and mood of the employee was highly disappointing and I could tell he was just there to get his check. There was no attempt to answer my questions or try and find out from the manager on duty who I didn’t know was there until I was walking out and he came from the back. I was in a hurry so I did not inquire with him or mention the interaction. It could have been better had I been informed and comfortable with my ID being scanned and known what was being done with my info. Obviously we have to be careful with personal info being captured and should be able to be informed when asking the team members.

I recently shipped three 21x21x21-inch boxes (actual weights: 19 lbs, 31 lbs, and 35 lbs; total ~85 lbs) from Orlando, FL to Albuquerque, NM using FedEx Ground Economy. The total cost came to approximately $388 after surcharges and fuel fees. While I appreciated the reliable tracking and delivery service, the pricing felt excessively high due to the dimensional weight rule billing each box at ~67 lbs—far exceeding the actual weights. This made FedEx significantly more expensive than USPS Ground Advantage, which offers comparable ground shipping for around $230 total with similar delivery times. For lightweight but bulky items like these, the dim weight policy reduces competitiveness. I'd love to see more flexible pricing options or adjusted rules for non-dense shipments to make FedEx a more affordable choice in the future.

It was an awesome experience the representative was very knowledgeable and understanding about our situation. It shipped the very next day as she informed us. She deserves 5 stars.

The girl working there was not helpful at all. She told me to print out the wrong information and it was supposed to be a prepaid return package in which she made me pay the full shipping price. I had to return there to print out the correct part and get a full refund since it was a prepaid shipping label. Terrible service!!

I hope that’s her name. Either Marisol or Maribel she was by herself and she was doing her thing, still nice and friendly.
