She asked what size and I said it needed to be big because 11X17 was too small. I was not aware of the actual sizes of the maps I was printing and I was also not aware of what sizes FedEx Office offered. So the simple answer was “I don’t know, what sizes do you have”. And she asked something to the affect of “you don’t know what size you want it printed”? It was all very short, very sassy. I felt I was inconveniencing her and I felt she was upset with me for not knowing the size of the images on my thumb drive. I’d hoped she would open them and tell me how big they were because I couldn’t figure it out. Once the maps were opened she mentioned “the images are already sized” which was a relief and sort of made the mild argument earlier unnecessary and frustrating. The lady then told me the sizes and didn’t exactly offer any options for smaller, or larger. I felt obligated to just get what she said she found. I really didn’t want to strain the transaction any further because I was already close to either walking out or I’d expected her to ask me to leave. I wanted something as close to a waterproof map as possible to use for emergency management in macomb county and had three printed of each map. I asked for nicer paper but what I got didn’t quite match what I’d hoped for and since everything was strained from the start it wasn’t worth arguing or interrupting her. The maps were also rather expensive granted I did expect that, I would’ve liked more options for laminating or better paper however I was prepared to take what I could get. It was clear “full service” was quite that in this instance. I will say the people whom I picked up the maps from were very kind, very nice and very accommodating. Unfortunately all the decisions had already been made by an angry woman the day before…
