My experience with Amir (who is an assistant manager) qualifies as as extremely negative and unprofessional. My goal is to ship a 15 pound box of clothes to family in Australia. I looked up the rates under my FedEx.com profile and spotted an option to ship a 10KG box. I went to my local FedEx Office and inquired about said box. Amir seemed incredulous and after repeating the question he said that they did not carry a 10KG box and he questioned my logic for asking about it. I showed him the FedEx website with the dimensions and he said that must have been "from the 90's" while joking and laughing with another customer at my expense. He listed a few times the types of boxes they did have and I chose a 16x16x16 box. I put the box on my shipping account and left the store. I'm confused if the 10KG box exists now and if the rates I was quoted on the website are valid. I'm not sure if Amir was having a bad day or if I rubbed him the wrong way (I never mentioned that I was an employee) but his communication style and tone were extremely unprofessional and degrading. I've used this particular location several times and this is my first encounter with Amir. I'm hesitant to return and I'm considering shipping with a competitor because I'm certain that the customer service and communication will be more pleasant and positive. I'm very disappointed for the FedEx brand and customer experience if my interaction today becomes a pattern.
