    The store had two employees and only one other customer there except me. The female associate helping the customer ahead of me asked for help from the young man who helped me. He seemed preoccupied with something else and annoyed to answer her question and annoyed and impatient when helping me. I explained to him that I’m not familiar with shipping via FedEx in an apologetic way. He didn’t respond in a friendly matter AT ALL. After paying I took a picture of the receipt and the labeled package and explained that people I am shipping to are shady. Then I asked how the package can be tracked to make sure it would be received the next day. He told me I could go online and type in the tracking number. He did not offer any other option to assure me my package would be received. The US Postal service even does this so since I wasn’t offered anything, and businesses always offer up charges, I just assumed it wasn’t available so I didn’t ask and frankly, I shouldn’t have to. There were no other customers behind me, waiting. The package I sent HAD to be there the following day or there would be extreme financial consequences of tens of thousands of dollars. So I used FedEx tracking to make sure it was delivered the following day. When I requested the proof, the PDF I was given just said it was delivered to Reno, NV. No specific address that it was supposed to be delivered to was listed. I panicked. I called the customer service line where they could verbally assure me that the package was delivered to the address I requested, but they said they could not provide a written confirmation of this and weren’t sure why. They said they would investigate and I was contacted by the local FedEx office in Reno. She said she didn’t know why the specific address was not listed on the PDF confirmation but that the driver did leave it at the front door. When I asked for written proof she said she could not do that. I spent the entire day desperately worried. The location of the delivery would not answer the phone for me or the FedEx office. She said the driver went back to the location to personally verify it had been given to the person I requested it be given to and it had been given to her. But no one would offer any accurate written proof. She said I should have asked for a signature when I visited the FEDEx office when I scheduled the delivery but I told her no one offered me that. I got more and more worried as the day progressed and FINALLY at 5:30 pm the person I wanted it to be delivered to actually responded to my Email saying she had received it. I spent $55 to get it there by 10:30 am and an entire day trying to find out if it had been received. I am very upset with my service especially since customer service—with TWO calls, could not help me with my request. Another suggestion the Reno office suggested was to go back to where I had it shipped so they could give me a written confirmation of delivery. I didn’t end up doing this because the person I had it shipped to responded via email that she had received it. She has ignored multiple emails requesting information in the past so I was surprised that she responded. I just find it hard to believe that given the level of technology available these days that I was not able to get a specific confirmation of delivery in written form from FedEx and to spend my whole day trying to get things figured out and FedEx never resolved my request. I am very unhappy with my FedEx experience.
